RYAN COVENTON

A native of Oklahoma, Ryan Coventon was born and raised in Harrah, about 25 miles east of Oklahoma City. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Mr. Coventon earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance as a member of the University’s Price College of Business Presidential Leadership Class. Following his undergraduate degree, he attended the Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he was an active member of the Phi Alpha Delta professional law fraternity, voted by his peers as Member of the Year 2006-2007. He earned his Juris Doctorate (JD) at the Oklahoma City University School of Law, a law school fully accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) Council of the Section on Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar, and a member of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS).

Upon becoming a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Ryan Coventon began his career as a civil defense lawyer representing insurance companies and private citizens in personal injury cases including automobile accidents, oilfield accidents and products liability. As an attorney in the insurance defense industry, he successfully handled multi-million dollar litigation and obtained favorable outcomes for his clients through skillful negotiations and dexterous trial work.

In addition to handling defense in civil cases, Mr. Coventon is also an experienced criminal defense attorney. In 2009, he began working as a sole practitioner representing clients in criminal cases in state and federal courts across Oklahoma. Through innovative and assertive defense strategies, he has provided effective representation and obtained successful results for criminal defendants in state and federal cases ranging from DUI and traffic crimes to felony sex offenses.

Ryan Coventon is a member of the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, the Pontotoc County Bar Association, and the Bar of the Chickasaw Nation. He is admitted to practice in all Oklahoma State Courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma.
